Our Therapists
Our therapists are both
nationally certified and Oregon State licensed. Educated
at East-West College of the Healing Arts (2002), our focus
merges the scientific with the energetic.
Aqua Terra's therapists have been
trained extensively in the scientific aspects of massage, and
are happy to share this information with you during your
massage. They are also familiar with energetic modalities
of massage such as acupressure, Reiki, and Thai Yoga. Our
therapists enjoy outdoor activities such as sailing, skiing,
kayaking, biking and hiking, so they are familiar with challenges
athletes face.
Erik Krippner. Erik
specializes in deep tissue and sports massage, and has helped to
create dramatic structural changes in many of his clients.
He works in a deep, meditative way that brings you into a
peaceful state while receiving incredible structural work.
Erik is very knowledgeable in anatomy and physiology, and has a
gift for explaining imbalances in the body.
His gentle, compassionate personality and
excellent massage skills
have made him a well-known therapist here in Portland. Erik
grew up in New Orleans and has a Bachelor of Science in Forestry
from Louisiana State University. Prior to massage, he
worked as a forester for over a decade.
Faye Krippner. Faye
performs a deep, relaxing Swedish massage. Her nurturing,
sweet nature helps her clients feel at ease while her listening
skills ensure a massage that meets your needs. Faye uses a
variety of techniques to relax muscles, from deep effleurage to
high tempo percussion. Her touch is intuitively aware and patient to the pace
the body releases. Faye is skilled in pregnancy
massage as well as massage for new mothers. She grew up here in
Portland and received a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics, with a
minor in German, from the Honors College at the University of
Oregon. She worked in the high-tech industry for ten years before being drawn into the healing arts.
